One of the key initiatives is dealing with travel, there are lots of areas that the government are working on within this and they are firstly insurance, it is costing the government approximately two hundred million pounds a year from people who will not pay their insurance and this is money that could be spent on mending roads so it is something the government are looking very closely at. then there is travel insurance for British holiday makers, around fifteen percent of people going on holiday do not take out the right insurance to cover the country that they are travelling to so they are losing out of their own pocket when they have to pay for their own treatment in certain countries, so the govenrment is trying to get people to set up a system that lets people know exactly what they need before they go.
Another initiative the government is trying to psh forward is actually getting holiday makers to actually holiday at home in Britain so that the economy would get a huge boost, all that money that is currently going to other countries could stay here. And the major problem at the moment in this time of terrorism is having tighter security and security checks at all of our ports around the country.
Government initiatives currently taking place in houses of learning include the building schools for the future, helping to ensure that our schools shall have the best information technology equipment available and the buildings are all modern with comfortable furniture creating an atmosphere where people want to work.
