House Of Parliament

The House of Parliament is based on a two House system, the Lords and the Commons, these two sit in seperate houses both based on different priciples. But this doesn't affect the law making process, both the Lords and the Commons are involved in the three main activities of Parliament acts. The main concerns of the House are examining and sidcussing any new laws that are being proposed and seeing if they are practical, if they are in anyway affecting the rights of people and whether if in fact they should be passed at all. They will also take a look at the policies that the present government has and they will also discuss the issues of the day.

Here on our website you can find all the detail;s you need to know about the House of Parliament, how the two Houses work you may also read details on their Members of Parliaments and your own local MP's and the committees involved with each party. Parliament is the authority in the United Kindom for passing legislations, they are the people who are held to task over changing laws that affect the members of the public in this country, the Houses of Parliamnet have another pseudonym of sorts and that is the Legislature, this is made up of three parts the commons the lords and the crown.

Parliaments main function is to make laws or legislative decisions that will affect the running of the country, how schools should be run, what should happen to criminals, how much money should go to funding the national health service and that sort of thing, all three divisions of Parliament have to agree before the legislation comes into practise.

They will also take a look at the work the government has done and debate it in the house of commons, parliamnetary questions will be put forward for the Prime Minister to answer and they will also pass these questions through select committees, so that the government have to come out publically and tell us the ordinary person in the street exactly what their intentions are and what they hope to achieve by passing certain laws.

The House of Parliament has the job of protecting its public they have to be able to safeguard public interest, if a person that is a part of the British realm feels they are being harshly treated then you cen complain to your local member of parliament, thats what they are there for believe it or not, they should then investigate and make recommendations.
